Get the Skinny Weight Loss

June 8th, 2009

Weight loss doesn’t have to be an arduous, horrible experience.  Most of us have a negative connotation with weight loss because we associate it with back-breaking exercise and strict, bland diets.  Well, for all of you looking to shed a few pounds before you squeeze into that oh-so-tiny swimsuit, take heart!  Here’s the real skinny on weight loss: tips and tricks to help you lose the weight without losing your mind!

  • Concentrate on strength training – larger muscles burn more calories.
  • Drink lots and lots of water!   You should be drinking half your body weight in ounces daily – it’ll help minimize over eating, keep you feeling full, and can help you lose weight.  Try to drink at least one full glass of water with every meal.
  • Exercise for at least 30 minutes 4 to 5 times a week.  You can even break up your workouts – working out for 10 minute intervals three times a day is just as effective as working out for a full 30 minutes.
  • Allow yourself one day a week to eat 500 more calories than you normally would – it’ll keep your cravings under control and help you better stick to healthy eating habits throughout the rest of the week.

Sabrina Looking Svelte!

May 29th, 2009

Consider this your weekend motivation!  Melissa Joan Hart (a.k.a Sabrina the Teenage Witch) graces this week’s cover of People magazine in an itty-bitty bikini to show off hew new svelte bod.   After unflattering pictures of her were splashed all over the Internet last summer, Melissa got motivated to shed the post-baby fat.  14 months of exercise, dieting, and hard work, she reached a slim 113 pounds.  Moral of the story: take an Akavar, watch what you eat, and get out there and enjoy the beautiful weather by doing something outside!

The Benefits of Caffeine

February 25th, 2009

Coffee (and Akavar 2050) lovers, rejoice!  When consumed in moderation, caffeine actually has a myriad of health advantages.  Sound too good to be true?  Well, think again.

  •  Caffeine enhances performance and endurance, ideal for athletes and dancers.  Consuming the substance30 minutes to one hour prior to an intense workout can result in increase endurance, less exertion and fatigue, and a more rapid recovery.
  •  Caffeine can actually speed up your metabolism and it breaks down fat, releasing fatty acids which are immediately burned during exercise.
  • Caffeine stimulates the central nervous system, which can make you feel instantly more alert and elevate your mood.

Note: If you are sensitive to the effects of caffeine or xanthines (caffeine-like stimulants), it is recommended you start by taking just 1 capsule of Akavar 20/50 and do not exceed more than 2 capsules per day.  Furthermore, limit the use of medications, foods, and beverages with caffeine while taking Akavar.

Akavar: An Anti-Muncher Motivator?

November 25th, 2008

I came across this great site: http://control-cravings.wetpaint.com/ which touts Akavar as a simple way to help control your cravings when the munching strikes!  Simply taking the weight loss supplement can help you mentally motivate yourself to eat better.  I’m a firm believer that controlling what you eat is just as much a mental challenge as it is physical.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have only been taking this product for a week and have noticed that I have dropped 4 pounds. I know that’s not a HUGE amount of weight, and I know that most people looking at diet pills are really looking for the Magical Answer… (click here to read the full review)

I’m really glad I started using this product…

September 11th, 2008

“I’m really glad I started using this product. I’ve losed [sic] 25lbs in 2 months. I’m so excited!!! I hope people who are seriously overweight will try this product and see the great results you’ll get.”

“I have to start off by saying that this may be one of those products that work better on someone that has alot of weight to lose. I want/need to lose about 60-80 pounds. I have lost 5lbs already and I do not take this 2 times per day as directed. I will add that this product is the first that I have tried since ephedra was taken off the market that actually does a multitude of things at once!
1)It curbs appetite!
2)It curbs cravings for junk foods (sweets)
3)It gives you energy without that shaky feeling and wears off nicely without problems.
In my opinion, it does EXACTLY what it says it does and is a great product. *Keep in mind that this is how the product affects me and may not be the same for someone else.* But I would have to say to at least try it because it does have the money back guarantee! You really have nothing to lose but the pounds…”

“This is week 2 of using this product. I started off with a lower dosage due the amount of caffeine related ingredients. I just took one pill in the morning. I had great energy, not jittery or racing heartbeat, just wide awake. Then I upped it to 1 pill in the morning & 1 at lunch (just like they said, 15mins before meal)with the same type of energy. (I havent [sic] started taking the 2 pill dosage yet.) I then realized I wasnt [sic] eating as much at mealtimes. I weigh every morning and I was losing 1/2 – 1 lb everyday. So far I have lost 8 lbs (7 days). I havent [sic] really changed my diet as far as what I eat but I have definitely seen a decrease in the amount I eat and I dont [sic] even want to snack between meals anymore…”
